Ming Lin

Ming Lin is a writer-researcher whose recent activities have revolved around a small distribution point, shop and exhibition space in Kowloon, Hong Kong. She also works as a part-time importer-exporter, trading commodities and art objects across social networks as a means of examining shifting production and consumption methods. Her most recent work brought her to Beijing, where she conducted fieldwork regarding the poetics of English text found on garments manufactured and sold in China. An essay on these findings is forthcoming. Her first book, Display Distribute, was published by Modes Vu in 2014, and further writings can be found in LEAP, ArtReviewAsia, art-agenda and Art in AmericaShe is currently at the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths University.
