Joshua Serafin

Joshua Serafin is an actor, dancer, and a designer. He graduated from the Philippine High School for the Arts majoring in Theatre Arts and is currently studying bachelor’s degree major in Contemporary dance in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He received dance training from Ballet Philippines’ summer intensive program in which he has been a scholar for four years and was also given a scholarship from Pole Academy Philippines. He was a Sipat Lawin Ensemble player, a site specific theatre company.

He has worked with artists such as Arco Renz from Kobalt Works, Vangelis Legakis in Xiamen, China, Eisa Jocson, an independent artist, apprentice of Leeroy New, a sculptor and designer based in the Philippines, Productions of
Ballet Philippines, Pole Academy Philippines, Radaic School of Ballet, Dulaang Sipat Lawin, and Sipat Lawin Ensemble.

Joshua is interested in contemporary and unconventional works that tackles about body politics, gender, sex, sexuality, and to explore in what extend the body can give off for performance.
