Susanna Chung

Susanna Chung is Head of Learning and Participation at Asia Art Archive, an independent non-profit organisation initiated in 2000. Chung has worked at AAA in various roles since 2005, initiated the Learning and Participation Department in 2007 leading the educational projects and partnerships in Hong Kong and across Asia, and has just been appointed Programme Manager to oversee programmes across the organization since summer 2016.

In 2010, Chung was awarded the Starr Foundation Fellowship by the Asian Cultural Council to research audience development and education programmes at various art institutions across the United States. She was a recent recipient of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s Arts Administration Scholarship (2013) for her Master of Educational Studies at the University of Hong Kong. Recently, Chung is the recipient of 2016/17 International Fellowship on the Clore Leadership Programme.

Chung has participated as a speaker and moderator in a number of art education forums in Hong Kong and internationally; including Worlds Together (2012), a conference organised by the Tate Modern, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and the British Museum; Art Educators Conference: Making Art a Part of Daily Life for Young People (2013) organized by Asia Society Hong Kong Center; the 3rd Conference of the Asia-Pacific Network for Cultural Education & Research (2016) in Cambodia; and March Meeting 2016: Education, Engagement and Participation organised by Sharjah Art Foundation.

She was also invited to co-host a weekly lifestyle radio programme for Hong Kong Metro Radio (2014).
