Jessica Kong
江卓姿

In 2015, Jessica Kong joined Spring Workshop as Programs and Communications Manager. She has been involved in exhibition curating and program planning including: Des hotes: a foreigner, a human, an unexpected visitor (2015), Wu Tsang: Duilian (2016), Wong Wai Yin: Without trying (2016), Winter Sublet (2016) and A Collective Present (2017).

Jessica Kong graduated from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) with a degree in Behavioural Studies. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she joined the Hong Kong Art School and was awarded best artwork of the year (painting) in 2013. To combine her interest in arts, memories, interpersonal relationships and psychotherapy, Jessica is currently in her final year of Master of Expressive Arts Therapy at The University of Hong Kong whilst working as a therapist trainee. This experience has broaden her horizons and expanded her perspectives through interactions with different people with diversified characteristics in the society. She is the co-founder of Sap Fong (拾坊) since 2014, and has been giving mobile workshops around the city for people with different abilities and needs. This gives her opportunity to share new discoveries from nature and from daily life with others, as well as to collect others’ stories as an exchange.

She has also produced and been involved with various arts projects for local and international institutions including: I wanna eat yummy yummy at Oi! Street Art Space (2015), Hong Kong Week in Taipei: Journeys of a Hong Kong Poet, Leung Ping Kwan presented by Hong Kong-Taiwan Cultural Co-operation Committee and Art Promotional Office (2014), Leung Ping Kwan (1949-2013) A Retrospective presented by Fringe Club and Art Promotional Office (2014), Nadim Abbas: Apocalypse Postponed presented by Absolut Art Bureau (2014), Clockenflap Weekend presented by Clockenflap at PMQ (2014), I think it rains presented by Burger Collection at 1a Space (2013) and You (you). by Lee Kit for 55th Venice Biennale presented by M+ (2013).
