|
Urban agriculture specialists and artist collective HK Farm (Glenn Eugen Ellingsen, Michael Leung and Anthony Ko) have taken over Spring’s main terrace for a year-long residency that began in September 2014. Join us on on the afternoon of Sunday, November 23 for a harvest workshop where you will get a glimpse of their approach to experimental farming that includes time-lapse photography, sound recording and projection, food sculpture and an edible harvest. We will be running workshops on planter-making, planter-painting, pesto- and jam-making. Click here for the project’s Tumblr: Spring Workshop x HK Farm Tumblr (Photos by Glenn Eugen Ellingsen).

On Sunday, November 16, 2014, artist/educator Clara Cheung will lead a stop-motion animation workshop for children aged 9-15 based on the content from our current exhibition, “Islands Off the Shores of Asia.” Clara will introduce different narrative techniques drawing on visual elements from the exhibition. She will also show them easy but fun prop-making as well as sound and video editing techniques. Co-presented with Para Site, “Islands off the Shores of Asia” is an exhibition based on the ideological, historical, mystical, and fictional interpretations of the remote and largely uninhabited islands claimed by different nations across East Asia. Click here for more on the exhibition, curated by Cosmin Costinas and Inti Guerrero. A final curators’ tour of the exhibition will be held on December 7, 2014. EXHIBITION HOURS:
