For those who missed the two sessions of  This Rabbit Looks To The Left: Chocolate Scrying (Nov 21 and 22) with Milena Bonilla and Luisa Ungar we invite you to the exhibition to explore and trace the multifarious stories and visions that emerged from the perfomative gatherings. You might want to combine your return to our show together with our final series of encounters in November and December.

This week, Luisa Ungar will be presenting a performative lecture Clapping Backwards (Nov 27 and 28) where she will enlist an expert to present research on public space and animality in a performative lecture. In December, we welcome Trevor Yeung back to Spring with more Lonesome and George chronicles to share in Cantonese (Dec 13) and English (Dec 20).

We would like to announce that Des hôtes will be extended for one week and close on December 20. We look forward to welcoming you for your visit to the show, be it your first or a repeated one, as well as to the last iterations of our exploration of the blurred politics of host and guest this fall.

Clapping Backwards
with Luisa Ungar and expert-guest

Luisa Ungar and her invited guest will present their research on relationships between public space and animality. It follows from the studies called Spontaneous innovation for future deception (SIFFD) developed in various zoos around the world since the 1940s. On this occasion, the invited animal behavior specialist will focus on the way in which certain local wild species have adapted themselves to staged environments.

Lonesome and George
with Trevor Yeung

Following his first presentation in November 7, Trevor Yeung continues his storytelling project. Inspired by the story of Lonesome George, who was the last known specimen of a subspecies of Pinta Island tortoise, Yeung will embark on a search for other Lonesome Georges out in the wild, resulting in an evening of tales that he will present in collaboration with a storyteller.

On top of a new English session at Spring, he will presenting a Cantonese session in a special location which will be announced.
