Spring Workshop welcomes Oscar van den Boogaard, writer-in-residence for A Fictional Residency, the latest installment of Moderation(s), a long-term program (January 7, 2013 – August 10, 2014) in collaboration with Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam. During his stay, Van den Boogaard will meet and work with a group of Hong Kong-based practitioners including visual artist Nadim Abbas, writer-director Enoch Cheng, writer-journalist Doretta Lau and artist-architectural duo Valerie Portefaix and Laurent Gutierrez of MAP Office.  The four-day writing session will culminate in a book of short stories to be launched on June 29, 2013, at Spring.

In tandem with the book presentation, artist and curator Heman Chong directs A Fictional Residency‘s version of Lucia Melts (2001), a play by Oscar van den Boogaard that will be performed on the same evening.
