Throughout the entire month of October, the acclaimed New York writer/composer Michael Friedman will be in residence. True to form, Michael will be investigating Hong Kong culture from many angles and meeting several local artists and academics to learn about their practices and politics.  At the end of his stay on October 27, Michael will then take to the keyboard to play through some songs for us.

Join us for a musical and lyrical exploration of his intriguing interests, which range from Mormons to Mongkok, communes to Cantopop, and U.S. President Andrew Jackson to HK Chief Executive C.Y.Leung.  This event will be a cocktail hour mini-concert with Michael at the keyboard.  Drinks will be served.
